YAPA: what is given without an obligation, a gift; the term has been traced back to Mapuche and Quechua word yapa ('to increase; to add').

In Andean markets it is still customary to ask for a yapa when making a purchase. The seller usually responds by throwing in a little extra.

Our Dough

Our dough recipe comes from our dearest friend from the south of Chile, Ximena “Coco” Cavieres, who shared with us her passion for cooking and her special recipe for empanada dough.

Our dough is made from a NON-GMO, unbleached all-purpose flour and organic sunflower oil, plus a little salt.
